Presentations

The purpose of the workshop is to solicit input and advice on the technology, policy, and market development needs for adoption of DC and AC-DC Hybrid systems in residential and commercial buildings, with a particular focus on Zero Net Energy (ZNE) buildings with PV, battery storage, and electric vehicle charging.

A broad array of representatives from manufacturers, builders, designers, and other industry players, along with researchers, government agencies, and others with interest in ZNE buildings are expected to attend.

This workshop is funded by the California Energy Commission EPIC program, as part of the LBNL/EPRI/CIEE joint research project on "Direct Current as an Integrating and Enabling Platform."

The workshop will include a tour of the zero-net energy features of the ETI facility.

Background reading:
2014 scoping study that resulted from a stakeholder workshop held in February 2014 in Sacramento (sponsored by DOE and several utilities).
